I have had the great honor to have known and worked with Bernie the entire time he was a member of Sel Group. His contributions to the successful programs the group conducted were greatly appreciated and valued. He will be dearly missed. My condolences to his entire family.

Hi, I am not sure if we have ever met, however, I am a second cousin of Bernie and Jackie and Les Aling. Having not lived in Chicago for decades, all I needed to see was Bernie’s smile, and memories of him, his sister Jackie and his mom (my Aunt Jeanette who is my grandmother Roses’ sister) came flooding back. May they all rest in peace.
May Bernie’s warm memory be a blessing for your family.

Linda, thinking of our grandmothers, sisters Becky and Mary, and our friendship as young couples and parents on Chicago’s South Side. Those were good times.
My condolences to you and your family. I know the depth of the loss of your father and husband. I hope you find peace and comfort in loving memories.

Linda and family, my heartfelt condolences to all of you on the passing of your wonderful husband and father, and my friend, Bernard. From our days as fellow students at the University of Illinois beginning in the late 1950’s, as fellow congregants at CBS, and as a client when I think of Bernie, I find that a single word is all I need to best describe him: that word is MENCH, because that is exactly what he was. Bernie was thoughtful, kind, honest and truly a gentleman in his relationships with friends and his dealings in business with everyone whom he came in contact with. He will be missed by all who knew and respected him.
May is memory be for a blessing and may he be mourned along with the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Sad to hear about Bernie’s passing.
He was my mentor and friend when I started working at Gerson Electric. He helped me learn estimating and got me involved in project management.
A kind and generous man.🙏😢
